Welcome to Jefe Havanese where we have been raising and showing havanese since 1999. We are located in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. We have been inivolved in both conformation and obedience and have the privilege of owning and producing multiple AKC champions over the years. We are members and Breeders of Merit of the Havanese Club of America and founding members of The North Star Havanese Club.

All of our dogs live in our home and are very much a part of our family. Havanense are a companion breed and thrive best in an environment where there is lots of attention. They are an odorless and non shedding breed and therefor make wonderful pets for allergy sufferers. They are very intelligent and fast learners so are very easy to train.

All of our dogs here at Jefe Havanese are fully health tested to beyond the standards set by the Havanese Club of America. All have OFA certifications on hips, patellas, elbows and cardiac, Baer tesing completed and CERF exams annually to assure us we are producing the healthiest puppies we possibly can. All puppies are Baer tested and receive their first shots and vet exam prior to going to their new homes.

It is our practice that only dogs that have attained their AKC breed championships and have passed all of their health testing will be used in our breeding program. Wa take pride in our high standards and plan our litters accordingly. We have only one or two litters each year and strive to produce quality, healthy and well adjusted puppies. While our goal is always for beautiful structure and correct conformation, we feel good health and outgoing personalities are just as important and continually strive for the "total dog". We strive is to produce quality pet and show puppies that adhere to the AKC standard.
